We made tessellations in Design Art. We made it by starting off with a square. We folded it in halve and then again. Then we drew random lines and curves and circles etc. Then we unfolded it so that the normal square was only folded in halve. Then placing it on a light, we traced the shape. We did that again and ended up with a nice square. We then placed another empty square onto the square we just did, and so on. I learnt that to make a good tessellation, you can just start with a simple drawing. My tessellation kind of reminds me of the Pokemon, Chansey and Ghastly.
If I could go back and redo this project, I would make my tessellation look a bit less like a Pokemon. I took away the knowledge of how to do a tessellation.
I felt happy because I've always failed to do a real tessellation and now i can do a proper one. This project increased my observation about looking at tessellations because now I notice that some shirts have tessellations on them. Through out the whole project, I changed the use of markers to colored pencil. I was satisfied with my result
